I just got my Dad through a year of total bedridden status. He had to have his hips replaced. I couldn't get financial help then, and now I'm totally broke. I can't jusy walk away my heart won't allow that but I'm at a loss. Where do I start?

Call one of the nursing homes in your or her area and speak to the DOC advise them what your needs are and they could put you in contact with the right agency. They have caregivers that come in and will do all of these things for her. Or you can even check with the Red Cross they would be able to put you in the right direction as well.

If you go to the state website and type "aging" in the search box (or type the state name and "aging services" into your browser), you should see a list of local options. Choose one that looks promising and contact someone asking for help. Eventually, they will get you to the right agency.
Thank you for caring.
