I'm full-time 24/7 live-in caregiver for my 96yr old dad who has severe Lewy Body Dementia. Lately he is becoming more confused and now at times thinks I'm my Mom (who passed 10 years ago). Last night in the middle of the night he pressed his call button (still knows how to use this often enough lol) and when I came in to see what the issue was, he asked me to come to bed. I gently told him - No DAD, I have my own room and my own bed. I'm your daughter Karen, are you comfortable? Is there anything I can get for you? He just said, oh-ok then I won't force you, but I love you and I told him I love you too Dad. Then he asked for coffee. I tried to tell him it was 2am but he was insistent. So, I made him some decaf and when I came back to place it on his bedside table he was out like a light! What is your experience mainly with the inappropriate behavior and how did you best handle this? Thank in advance for your input!

I wouldn't over worry you. He hasn't really a clue who you are at those times.
The way you handled it is perfect.
