Mom was diagnosed with Vascular dementia about a year ago. She has gone through some really bad days and some good days. This sounds stupid but how far between "spells" does this vascular dementia go. She is fine for weeks and seems to be back to her old self and then boom she hallucinates or gets really confused. Is anyone else going through this?
So figure out on her bad times, what's going on in her body or life that could be contributing to it
It varies patient to patient.
There is no norm.
I can tell you that in general any anxiety or agitation does bring on more "spells".
Many of us have wondered how you are doing. I believe you mother was scheduled a week or so to enter her care center and you were wondering about furniture placement.
Good to hear from you; where is everything at with her transfer to her new living quarters?
Dementia does not come and go. Its like being pregnant there is no "being a little pregnant." You are going to just go with the flow and chalk it all up to the desease. I had a hard time adjusting because therevis no rhyme or reason to Dementia. Its too unpredictable. I like order. I like knowing whats going to happen next.
