You can buy senna tea but I'm going to recommend switching to PEG 3350 (miralax) and increasing fluids - and perhaps adding in something like Benefiber. My mom relied on a complicated regimen of alternating laxatives for decades and the peg 3350 was a real game changer for her.

Just looked it up, it cannot be crushed or even broken in half. There is a liquid form. Check with your pharmacy.

There is a tea called Smooth Move it works well, think it is same ingredients as Senna
I also used pureed Papaya and Pineapple mixed for my Husband. (I looked at a lot of the OTC "colon cleansing) products and found many of them contained those two fruits. And even if it did not work it tasted good. I pureed both, combined them and portioned them and froze in 1 Cup portions.
There was a prescription we got called Lactulose and that worked well.
I also gave him Mirilax on occasion. I had to mix it with food since his liquids were thickened and Mirilax will thin out thickened liquids.
Then there was "The Bomb" a mixture that Hospice suggested... 1/4 Cup Prune Juice, 1/4 Cup Milk of Magnesia and 1/4 Cup of Orange Juice warmed up (that is key). that worked well.
And when things got real desperate I resorted to Magnesium Citrate bottles from Walmart were $1.00 and worked pretty fast.
