I was on Medicare/Medicaid and Social Security. I had a stay in a nursing home that they (of course) were fully paid and I just got $50 a month. When I left they said I was fully paid. Now they keep wanting to bill me the $50 for several months before I left. After 2 1/2 years they followed me to 3 address changes. And every month they have sent me a bill to each of the new address. I am refusing to pay. Where do I really stand?

50.00 a month for several months? Are you saying you owe only one hundred? Or several 100.00? You say bill is following you. Is it now the bill sent by bottom feeder bill collectors who bought it for pennies on the dollar?
I would say your credit may be ruined, but do you really NEED credit. I doubt seriously that for several 100.00 they will go to court to get a judgement against you, but that's only personal opinion . I cannot know who is pursuing you or for what.

Have you not contacted the nursing home about this? Are you sure you are
looking at a bill and not a statement showing you have a balance in your personal needs account at the nursing home? Because this doesn’t make sense.

Yeah, I am with Worried on this. Are you sure its not a Statement showing the monthly deposits to your Personal Needs account. The total would be what they "owe" you. Your are entitled to the money,

No I was there quite a while. When I left the end of Sept. they said I was paid. They kept my Social Security check for Oct. Illegal. We fought and got a hand written check. Sent copies to SS, Medicare and Medicaid showing how illegal that place is.
They are trying to bill me for the $50 patient spending allotment for Jan.
We have contacted them. 2 People said I don't owe it. The bottom-feeders have been sending me this bill and following me for 2 years.
It has NOT affected my perfect credit
