Get a SimpliSafe alarm. It’s loud and you can set it off remotely and turn it off remotely. It doesn’t have to be hooked up to monitoring. My dad is pretty much deaf, but he can hear it when I set it off. They have cameras, too. Then you can see if she actually gets up or not. This system has been a God send for me. I turned my dad’s house into a smart house and I can control everything from my soft comfy bed. Good luck.

Get a smart lock, too. They’re genius. You can Unlock the door remotely for emergencies, like EMT’s. For those people who have elders still living in their own home, get the Ring floodlight that takes video and has a microphone. If anyone approaches your parents home, you can take over and talk for your parents. My father has had problems with predators. They know not to come around, now, as I am watching full-time with alerts.

I agree with Beatty. Look into depression as being the cause. Depression and dementia go hand in hand. My MIL is very hard of hearing and sleeps in and has stayed in bed up to 36 hrs. We have a camera. So we go over every day to make sure she is up and looks presentable and send her off to lunch. Cheaper than AL. We check on her thru out the day and and she is content to sit until bedtime.

I am hearing impaired, just got a cochlear implant. Must order a special alarm clock with a bed shaker. I have an early appointment tomorrow so I must stay awake to go for my next appointment for my cochlear implant. Looked up and did research for alarms. Do your research from consumer reports. Also just got a new closed caption phone, free: Caption Call. Email:sales@hearworldusa.com. A Mr. Paul S.Haines, president of company came out and hooked it up to my modem. This phone has a very loud ring that would wake each of my neighbors near me up. If you get that phone which is free it will wake her if set to the maximum. The modem is from Comcast that I had from my other phone. Good luck and bless you for bring such a loving daughter. She is blessed to have you. Let me know if this helps.

Many suggested very loud devices to wake her up and that's fine for someone living at home but living in a Senior Apartment, it might disturb others and get her in trouble so a pillow vibrator (some call it a 'bed shaker') and/or strobe lights might be more suitable.
