hello,
my mother is the primary caregiver for my grandmother that is bed bound and not able to walk any more. She will be 101 yrs old next moth, my mother has had everything setup for my grandmother like home health care, nurses, meds, supplies… etc.. My uncle on the other hand is going behind her back and changing healthcare providers, doing things that is not needed. He is causing more harm than good. He will not listen to us nor my mother, he wants to do things his way and not my mothers or the family way. They are always fighting about things. He himself is not even capable of taking care of himself let alone my 101 year old grandmother. we need help!!! How do we keep him for making changes to things when they are already in pace or just make him stay way?

Find Care & Housing
Your mother needs to take the PoA paperwork to those places (or email/fax them) so they can make copies and to show she has the sole authority and make it abundantly clear they are not to make any changes without her permission. Make sure he doesn't have HIPAA access to gramma's medical info at each doctor's office. I'm not sure how he is changing her healthcare providers unless he has her info...you can help your mom set up online accounts to her providers so she can easily check what's going on with gramma's accounts and plans.

If he can't respect the boundaries, then call the police and see if he can be reported for ID fraud. Keep reporting him every time, and if he physically shows up call the police also for trespassing, then maybe a restraining order. Block his phone calls. Good luck and bless you for helping your family in such a way.

im sorry, I typed the incorrect part. he was changing home health care providers not health care providers. and thank you for the advise. I never wanted to get the police officers involved for something petty. it will have to be the last resort. I will have my mother reach out to everyone to make sure they under stand she has the PQA and not to make any changes without her say so.

Then she needs to let the Drs, etc know he has no power to change apts, caregivers.. whatever. She needs to stand up for herself and her mother. how is he getting away with this? She does not need to let him she is cutting him off,, he will find out soon enough if his tactics no longer work. Good luck
