All the facilities I have contacted require "up front" payment in cash before accepting my partner into their facility when I need to have a break. Why is it that the insurance companies don't pay for respite care? They are killing off the caregivers.
Is hospice an option?
Are you able to use a Miller Trust to reduce wife's income? Are you working with an eldercare attorney on Medicaid eligibility?
