I would like to know about Medicaid. How much money do I have to have in the bank to apply for Medicaid and what do I need?

It depends on what type of Medicaid. If it’s Medicaid health insurance then eligibility is determined by monthly income & the amount of income you can have varies by state. If it’s long term care Medicaid (the person applying is in a nursing home or will be going to a nursing home) then eligibility is determined by income and assets. There’s a monthly income limit and in most states you can’t have more than $2k in assets. In NY the asset limit is $15k. In your state of Nevada, for regular Medicaid health insurance, the income limit for a single person is $783 a month.
