Hello to all of you with the answers. My biggest concern right now would be to immediately get my loving mother out of this Demented man environment ASAP. I need some advice and a team to assist me with my mother's household needs. I cannot continue to do this kind service and to be yelled at until I make my emergency exits. I am fighting for me and my mother's sanity before something happens to the both of us while we are trying to function under all this verbal abuse. I really can't take this on anymore without some professional help. Thank You, Lorinda.

Sorry, like said this is a forum of Caregivers sharing our experiences.

Glad has given you some good suggestions. If this "man" becomes violent towards you or Mom then call 911 and have the man removed. If by Demented you expect he has Dementia, then tell the police her needs to be evaluated. Because at this point he is a danger to u and Mom and he will not be allowed back in the house. Get a restraining order.

I would try APS first if you feel this man is dangerous and abusing Mom. With COVID not sure how fast u will get any help. If its your safety, you may want to leave and get a hotel room. You may want to talk to Social Services too.

Call the Area Agency on Aging they have lots of information and know about all things elderly. If it is an immediate dangerous situation call 911. Also try calling Adult Protective Services.

This is a caregiver support site we are in many different countries and nearly all states.
