Charles, do you have a social worker? If so, call her/him. If not call the county social services and ask for help from them.

Charles, since you are a Vet, I found this article on Aging Care, hopefully it can give you some information and places to call.

I would start with your primary care doctor. When my grandma took a fall the hospital stepped in and set it up, then her primary care doctor wrote something to medicare asking them to step in and do homecare. She is not given around the clock care since she is not considered hospice but I was given a few hours a day to be able to leave the house or leave her in their care. But I would start with your primary care doctor then if that doesn't work, try calling numbers. I just remember the hospital and doctor doing a lot of the work at first to get her set up. When I moved states I had to do it myself though making calls, filling out insurance papers, getting her approved, finding a social worker willing to take her case and even still keeping on top of them to make sure they found us the right company as so many companies out there do not have good caregivers. Good luck and I hope you can find someone to help you.
