I was laid off last year, and received partial employment which was cut off at the end of last year. I've been unemployed since then and have been struggling to find a job that will be flexible enough for me to run my mom back and forth to her appointments. I was told there are some programs out there but feel weird about asking because I feel like a deadbeat. If anyone knows of any such programs, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

Find Care & Housing
Yep. It's called she pays you. A written agreement to pay by the hour, by the day, or by the month and she does the payroll taxes.

Really? Not sure if she would go for that but I guess I could run it by her. It's just the whole 'idea' of having to pay me, her 'daughter' you know, it's kind of like a husband 'paying' his wife for taking care of things. Is this something common? What is the rate most people pay anyway? This is so hard. Even though she has been helping me financially up ill now being that she's 'old school' she doesn't see it as 'paying' me, she sees it as 'helping me' which I of course appreciate but now to turn around and tell her I need her to actually pay me in a 'formal' manner, wow, not n sure how that's gonna fly, but I will certainly run it by her. Thanks so much for this information. I really appreciate it.
