Hello all. I'm moving mom to Seattle metro soon and was wondering if anyone had any experiences with day centers, caregivers and or home care agencies in that area? Specifically, was it difficult to find in home assistance when working outside the home? Thanks in advance!!
I think Seattle has a lot of great services for seniors. I hope these links will help in finding something right for your mom.

NorthShore Senior Center, in Bothell, has a really nice day program. A person cannot necessarily go every day though, because they seem to serve different clientele on different days. They have a van, but it only goes to the north of Seattle.
Full Life runs day programs in a couple of locations (one on the south side and one on the north side). The Access bus system will transport qualified clients.
There is a place in Edmonds, maybe it is called Rosewood, which took drop-in clients at an hourly rate. It is a memory care facility.
You don't say what kind of in-home help you require. Seniors Helping Seniors offers companion help, I liked it because it is small and personal. But there are many agencies. There is a family caregiver assistance program in the Seattle area, you should be able to find it with an online search. The purpose is to support the caregiver.
