I think you may have to go through your State Department of Human Services for those answers, ask his PCP, ask State SW, etc.... There is financial help out there I read someplace with DHS infomational packets that you can have mailed out to you. Go online too.

Does your spouse qualify for Medicaid? Not sure about your state-- But in Virginia-- Medicaid has a program called (Consumer Directed Services) My Mom recieves companion/caregiver services in my home.. I am the employer and hired the caregiver, trained the caregiver-- but Medicaid pays them .$8.77 hour --They have online payroll-where she logs her hours..they also handles the taxes.. GOOGLE Consumer Directed Services ---your State-- BUT..you have to be medicaid qualified.. Mom was already on Medicaid Insurance.. and recieves small amt of food stamps also-- U cannot have pensions, savings, retirement$ etc.. She only has small Social security check..

In Oregon it would be Relative Caregiver through DHS Disabled Services. He can not have too much money or property and you would be licensed through the state. Each state is different. Check online, best starting point.
