Yeah, I'ma need some whiskey glasses If I'm gonna make it through If I'ma be single I'ma need a double shot of that heartbreak proof And see the world through whiskey glasses...
(This song has nothing to do with my life, but it's catchy and I have been singing it for days!)
"Help" by the Beatles. At the end of moving out of the house we have owned for 31 years. I know there's an end but I can't see it. This has consumed me emotionally and physically and I wonder if a normal life will be positive. I can't stand alot of the stuff my husband wants to bring. I guess I should be striving for "We Can Work It Out" if that is the title.
No idea as to why - but One Way or Another by Blondie.
”One way or another, I'm gonna find ya I'm gonna get ya, get ya, get ya, get ya One way or another, I'm gonna win ya I'm gonna get ya, get ya ,get ya, get ya One way or another, I'm gonna see ya I'm gonna meet ya, meet ya, meet ya, meet ya One day, maybe next week, I'm gonna meet ya I'm gonna meet ya, I'll meet ya... “
Someone left the cake out in the rain And I don't think that I can take it Cause it took so long to bake it And I'll never have that recipe again Oh No!
I know I'm caught up in the middle I cry just a little When I think of letting go Oh no, gave up on the riddle I cry just a little When he plays piano in the dark
-Piano in the dark by brenda Russell. I have looking for this song for about 6 years now! It was kind of remade in to a dance song and I KNEW the song but couldn’t remember the name or who sang it. And wouldn’t you know it, the original was playing in the grocery store a few weeks ago!! Always loved this song as a kid.
Yesterday I had “Party All the Time” - an ‘80’s song by Eddie Murphy and featuring Rick James - stuck in my head. I HATED that song.
I made the mistake of mentioning it to my hubby.
So, this morning - after I FINALLY get it out of my head - I hear it playing loudly in the living room. Seems hubby thinks he’s hilarious. He brought it up on YouTube - especially for me. Grrr!
”My girl likes to party all the time, party all the time, party all the timmmme...”
Well, my friends, the time has come Raise the roof and have some fun Throw away the work to be done Let the music play on Everybody sing, everybody dance Lose yourself in wild romance, we going to Parti', karamu', fiesta, forever Come on and sing along We're going to parti', karamu', fiesta, forever Come on and sing along All night long (all night), all night (all night) All night long (all night), all night (all night) All night long (all night), all night (all night) All night long (all night), ooh yeah (all night) People dancing all in the street See the rhythm all in their feet Life is good, wild and sweet Let the music play on Feel it in your heart and feel it in your soul Let the music take control, we going to Parti', liming, fiesta, forever Come on and sing my song All night long (all night) oh (all night) All night long (all night) yeah (all night) All night long (all night) yeah (all night) All night long (all night) (all night) Yeah, once you get started you can't sit down Come join the fun, it's a merry-go-round Everyone's dancing their troubles away Come join our party, see how we play Tom bo li de say de moi ya, yeah, jambo jumbo Way to parti' o we goin' oh, jambali Tom bo li de say de moi ya, yeah, jumbo jumbo Oh, oh, oh, oh, yes We're gonna have a party, yeah, ugh All night long (all night), all night (all night) All night long (all night), yeah (all night) All night long (all night), all night (all night) All night long (all night) Everyone you meet, they're jamming in the street, all night long (all night) Yeah, I said, everyone you meet, they're jamming in the street (all night) All night long (all night) Feel good, feel good (all night)
Song: 'Cuz I Don't Care', (Ed Sheeran & Justin Beeber.) Lyrics: "...Don't think I fit in at this party Everyone's got so much to say, yeah I always feel like I'm nobody, mm Who wants to fit in anyway? Cause I don't care when I'm with my baby, yeah All the bad things disappear And you're making me feel like maybe I am somebody I can deal with the bad nights When I'm with my baby..."
My favorite recent song that I hum everyday (VERY upbeat) is High Hopes by Panic! At The Disco. (check out the video if you get the chance.)
"Had to have high, high hopes for a living Shooting for the stars when I couldn't make a killing Didn't have a dime, but, I always had a vision Always had high, high hopes".........(the verses are quite inspirational as he sings of advice that his mother gave him.)
Songwriters: Brendon Boyd Urie / Ilsey Anna Juber / Jake Sinclair / Jenny Owen Youngs / Jonas Jeberg / Lauren Pritchard / Samuel Hollander / Tayla Parx / William Ernest Lobban-Bean

I want to be the smile
I want to see the change
I want to be your friend
From the start and once it starts
It never ends
I want to be your pal
I want to be around
I want to be your friend
When you are down
I want to be the sunshine
On your smiling face
I want to be the moon
No, I want to be ocean
Where all we do is float
Under the sun on the rolling sea
Oh, I want to be the sunshine
No, I want to be the moonshine
I want to be the night time lullaby
When you're so afraid
And I think I found a way
To put a smile on your lonely face
I think I found a way
A way to break down all the walls
I think I found a way to say
I think I found a way to say hello
I think I found a way
Without saying anything at all
Yeah, I'ma need some whiskey glasses
If I'm gonna make it through
If I'ma be single
I'ma need a double shot of that heartbreak proof
And see the world through whiskey glasses...
(This song has nothing to do with my life, but it's catchy and I have been singing it for days!)
Next line is...
"then let's keep dancing"
”One way or another, I'm gonna find ya
I'm gonna get ya, get ya, get ya, get ya
One way or another, I'm gonna win ya
I'm gonna get ya, get ya ,get ya, get ya
One way or another, I'm gonna see ya
I'm gonna meet ya, meet ya, meet ya, meet ya
One day, maybe next week, I'm gonna meet ya
I'm gonna meet ya, I'll meet ya... “

All night long (all night), all night (all night)
All night long (all night), all night (all night)
All night long (all night), all night (all night)
All night long (all night), ooh yeah (all night)
People dancing all in the street
See the rhythm all in their feet
Life is good, wild and sweet
Let the music play on
Feel it in your heart and feel it in your soul
Let the music take control, we going to
Parti', liming, fiesta, forever
Come on and sing my song
All night long (all night) oh (all night)
All night long (all night) yeah (all night)
All night long (all night) yeah (all night)
All night long (all night) (all night)
Yeah, once you get started you can't sit down

Everyone's dancing their troubles away
Come join our party, see how we play

Everyone you meet, they're jamming in the street, all night long (all night)
Yeah, I said, everyone you meet, they're jamming in the street (all night)
All night long (all night)
Feel good, feel good (all night)
I used to feel so uninspired
And when I knew I had to face another day
Lord, it made me feel so tired....
Those first few lines run through my head often, but watching this video can chase those blues away:

I'm going away to leave you love
I'm going away for a while
But I'll return to see you sometime
If I go ten thousand miles
The storms are on the ocean
The heavens may cease to be
This world may lose its motion love
If I prove false to thee
