ChristinaW, howdy! About2 1/2 hours north on the 101. I am an L.A. brat, been in San Bernardino, and thanks to the good man above, landed in Ventura. Wouldn't go back to L.A. if I was paid to. Seriously perfect weather here.

Hola, 58! Yes, I know it well. Santa Barbara has been a favorite destination for most of my adult life. My Mother lived just south of SLO for 33 years until I brought her down here in 08. The 5 hour drive was too much on a weekly basis.
I stay as far west as I can. Cheers:)

Nobody from Pennsylvania? I moved back to my hometown of Indiana, PA to help take care of my folks in 2008. Prior to that, I lived in East Texas for many years.

Thanks for asking this question :) I wondered myself where everyone was from.
