4600.00 for a small room w a private toilet and sink but he was considered “independent “ when first admitted, so he receives supervision, meals, laundry and supervised showers. Soon the price will go up since he needs more personal care. I don’t what the price is for the next level of care. Northern Michigan.

Momma's assisted living just increased from $5,017.65 to $5326.17. I guess with gas and groceries going up they had to raise their amount. Memory care runs a little over $6,000.00 a month for Alabama.

Many memory cares are single rooms, very little in terms of personal items and a roommate in room. More and more facilities are making this better with single units more like studios and with locked cottage facility with say 14 residents. Again, dependent on level of care (complete needs with incontinence, need for help with everything a higher level of care with need for more personnel and direction will cost more) in the bay area 7,000 would be a bargain and can go as high as norm of 10,000 and a high of 20,000 overall at the last time I was aware. I would say as with all else San Francisco one of the most expensive places in the world to live.

Lmkcbz, four years ago my Dad was paying around $7k per month for a studio. I am sure with supply chain issues, employees asking for higher wages, higher grocery bills, higher utility costs, higher liability insurance, etc. that cost has gone up. Probably now closer to $9-10k per month. I live in the Wash DC metro area.

Most are studios. It depends where you live. Yours is a pretty good deal. Most pricing will increase each year. Best is mot yo fully focus on just the price. Consider size, neighbors ages and mental condition and enrichment programs

We paid $8950/month for my mother's highest level of care (namely incontinence care on top of regular care). That was a year ago, so I'm sure it's about $9150 now.

Southern California.
