If your family member can pay you, you should have a contract legally set up by an elder attorney. Otherwise, siblings or others could cause you trouble down the road.
If you are looking for funding, go to your State's Web site and looking under aging services (or some such thing). Each state is different. Find contact information and you will find out what is locally available.

If the person is living with you, you can charge them room and board. You will have to report this on your taxes, but it is a way to get reimbursed for your time.
