A good night's sleep, chocolate, the happiness and satisfaction of sharing on AgingCare forum. Does anyone have some favorite things to think about? Yes, this phrase is from the song in the movie "The sound of Music". My husband and I often resort to using movie lines and song to improve communication. We were the only two in a gathering of people who heard the background music playing. We both had the same (cassette tape/CD). A connection bringing two people together. To this day, we crack up when one uses a simple movie line to make a serious point.
SO, What is one of your favorite movie line, some of your favorite things?
Here's looking at you, kid,

If you build it, he will come.
We'll never survive.
Nonsense. You're only saying that because no one ever has.
You're gonna need a bigger boat.
What are you talkin' to me for? She's the one with the gun.
Houston, we have a problem.
It's alive! It's alive!
I've a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore.
Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn.
So very funny.
But the videos are still available, and there are several newer ones I haven't seen yet. I think laughter is a beautiful legacy.
"Put Your Hand in the Hand" is a gospel pop song composed by Gene MacLellan and first recorded by Canadian singer Anne Murray from her third studio album Honey, Wheat and Laughter.
It became a hit single for the Canadian band Ocean, released as their debut single and title track to their debut album. The song peaked at No. 2 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, kept from No. 1 by "Joy to the World" by Three Dog Night.[2] The song also reached No. 4 on the Adult Contemporary chart.[3] It went on to become 22nd best-seller of 1971.
Ah, the golden days of Canadian music - the majority of songs on the radio were home grown and there were just so many fantastic bands.
"Put your hand in the man who stilled the water?"
Lyrics
Put your hand in the hand of the man
Who stilled the water
Put your hand in the hand of the man
Who calmed the sea
Take a look at yourself
And you can look at others differently
Put your hand in the hand of the man
From Galilee
Lime green is not my favorite color.
Hubs and I went to the beach today and saw quite a few full moons and they weren't the heavenly kind. Just saying.
Then there was the old man laying there in his lime colored speedo with his member almost at full attention. Good thing we had vomit bags in the car.
That was our day.
And who told the ocean, you can only come this far?
And who showed the moon where to hide 'til evening?
Whose words alone can catch a falling star?

"I thought that some of her more difficult posts were probably post-alcohol. "
I'm not interested in starting a fight, but I think that kind of conclusion is unwarranted unless you have specific information that she was in fact drinking. Otherwise, you're "assuming facts not in evidence."
Have you ever worked or lived with a law enforcement officer? If you have, you might understand how challenging it can be, and how it may require someone of a very strong nature to cope well with the challenges the officers themselves face.
I exchanged PMs with Worried, but never saw anything other than coping challenges, and certainly never would have concluded that alcohol was involved.
In addition, I too have often found your "legal knowledge" lacking and flawed. Australia and the US obviously have different legal codes and it's inappropriate to assume that what you've learned through your career also stands for the US.
Send, your poem brought tears to my eyes. Thanks for sharing such an insightful, emotional tribute to our flag.
Lee Greenwood also sang a moving tribute to our flag.

I walked through a county courthouse square
On a park bench an old man was sitting there
I said, your old courthouse is kinda run down
He said, naw, it'll do for our little town
I said, your old flagpole has leaned a little bit
And that's a ragged old flag you got hanging on it
He said, have a seat, and I sat down
Is this the first time you've been to our little town?
I said, I think it is
He said, I don't like to brag
But we're kinda proud of that ragged old flag
You see, we got a little hole in that flag there when
Washington took it across the Delaware
And it got powder-burned the night Francis Scott Key
Sat watching it writing O say can you see
And it got a bad rip in New Orleans
With Packingham and Jackson tuggin' at its seams
And it almost fell at the Alamo
Beside the texas flag, but she waved on though
She got cut with a sword at Chancellorsville
And she got cut again at Shiloh Hill
There was Robert E. Lee, Beauregard, and Bragg
And the south wind blew hard on that ragged old flag
On Flanders field in World War one
She got a big hole from a Bertha gun
She turned blood red in World War Two
She hung limp and low a time or two
She was in Korea and Vietnam
She went where she was sent by Uncle Sam
She waved from our ships upon the Briny foam
And now they've about quit waving her back here at home
In her own good land here she's been abused
She's been burned, dishonored, denied, and refused
And the government for which she stands
Is scandalized throughout the land
And she's getting threadbare and wearing thin
But she's in good shape for the shape she's in
'Cause she's been through the fire before
And I believe she can take a whole lot more
So we raise her up every morning
We take her down every night
We don't let her touch the ground and we fold her up right
On second thought, I do like to brag
'Cause I'm mighty proud of that ragged old flag
I do miss earlybird, and a few other long time posters. Oh, and we haven't heard from Paul from UK for awhile now.
I often wonder when one of our members suddenly disappear. I wish there
was a way the admin. could let us know somehow since they have everyone's e-mail. But I guess that may be asking too much of them and they still may not
be able to find anything out themselves.
Remembering Veronica and MsMadge, Needshelpwithmom, Stacey, and so many others. I do hope they are doing well.
I did not know about her stroke, or the sale of her cake pans. Hope she can improve?
Were you aware Countrymouse?
It is a quirky phrase: "Where is someone when you need them?".
I hope she knows somehow, that she is still thought of by members of AC.
Wish I lived in Minnesota.
God Save the Queen tune (the music, not the words) was Australia's National Anthem until 1984.
Joking....but I now realize that I will be held to a higher standard of accuracy by other posters. Lol. Why? I think it's because I don't own an I-Phone and can re-read my posts to correct them.
Anyway folks, I don't need a medication, it's because I took Aleve that I am this way.
It was the disabled child that passed away?
So very sorry for your loss. Condolences to the family of your friend.
The unleavened bread was made in the USA, so it is inflated.
Serves more people at communion.
Twenty years later after baking communion bread for my church, and I still cannot get it right. It was hard as a rock, shaped like a small football, and the pastor could not break it open. (I did warn him, and had a substitute on hand.)
But he was mad.
Did they get the flag wrong too?
Instacart delivered our flag too!
Strawberries and blueberries are excellent on a cake. The blueberries are just the right natural color. I never could eat FD&C Red food coloring. 🇺🇸
Once we eat our blueberries, we will have some more coffee with it. 🍰
