Theres speculation that this might be based on a real story. The victim had tbd, not dementia, but lots to think about.

I am not saying that this does not go on. Seems the people put in the position of caring for special needs people have no training, definitely no empathy. Also, the powers that be have no idea what is going on. This will worsen now there are shortages of qualified people. This is heartbreaking.

Yeah, I totally lol over how they this al supposedly had custody of him.

The ending, like many is accused, was saccharine and unrealistic. The court just awards custody to someone whose dependent went full cpr in a pool, and next thing you know he’s jumping into the pool with his kids as he betacams them.

I watched the show. It seemed odd to me that the brother didn’t move his sibling when he knew there were issues that weren’t being addressed at the place he was living. It was a reach when they said the sibling was ordered to live there. But then it’s TV
