Geaton, I agree with you. This is kind of bottom of the barrel scamming going on. Someone with not too big a brain. I think there is likely a connection. Admins were on their toes to get this quickly. I think the more reports we can quickly make to them the quicker these guys get shut down.

Grandma, I didn't get the Reverand's attempts at scams either.

Well, whoever the new Hacker is just attacked my profile.
I reported him or her to admin, by going to his/her profile, so imagine was to be expected.
Now when I press on profile I get his message with all the gobbledee goop junk rather than my profile.
WHERE DO THESE FOLKS COME FROM and why DO they mess with AC so much?

Just an update to all. Currently I cannot access my profile. I can get everything else just fine. The profile shows as our new Hacker-dude's window with all the trash in it, and then I get a spinning as tho it is trying to download something. At the bottom of the square it has a button to press that says "OK". If you are getting the same when you attempt to get your profile I would suggest you DON'T press that "OK" button. Who knows where that will take you.
I have checked with others by email and they can SEE my profile as though nothing has happened to it.
I think I got this for attempting to report the new hacking by going to his/her profile, making a comment to the admins to check the profile, and reporting my own comment.
I think if this is one of our usual troublemakers just a message not to mess with him/her.

Out to admins: Hopefully you can restore my profile. If not, not much lost in that.

We periodically get these things, Need. Whether it is a disgruntled person or just hacking for fun, it seems easily and quickly caught and taken care of by the admins, usually even on a weekend!

I haven't been able to access my profile since very early 2024.. when I added new years's eve fireworks to my profile pic background.. been stuck with 'em ever since. No summer look, no easter bunny, no autumn leaves now. Could be worse..

Admins, can you please check on recent problems posting in Discussions? I wasn't able to post and then when I succeeded, then couldn't edit it. Others seem to be having same problem, in Discussions.

Is the 'Whoops' error (a photo with a cat I think) a glitch? It gives no reason as to why a post cant be posted, just that the support team is working on it. It's been happening for a few weeks for me. I didnt have luck contacting support via email...hoping it's also being worked on as I cant post new questions and dont have info as to why, thanks

Care13 - It can be because you used a word that the anti spam bots flagged, or you provided a link they didn't like, it could also be because there's a glitch in the system. It would be nice if they would let us know what's up because multiple people have already reported this problem and I'm sure many more of us have encountered it and just shrugged and given up trying (I know it have)

Are you signed in at all times? If so, maybe sign out and sign back in? Maybe clear your history? You will need to sign back in if you do that. Sometimes "cookies" will screw things up.

Overnight June 25-26 my account was deleted. User name no longer exists, login doesn't work. Tried to email admin but it bounced because my email is blocked. Opened a new account using my previous user name and a new email address. Any way to merge my account back together? Now my new email is blocked too. I'm can be a smarty pants but doubt I did anything to warrant blocking or suspension.

The morning of June 26th I was typing a response in a thread and it wouldn't accept it. It suddenly logged me out. Then it wouldn't accept my login credentials. I requested a new password, but never go an email. I tried to make a new account, but couldn't. I'm not sure my form email to the admins even went through, but then eventually everything went back to normal, except my profile photo disappeared completely. The response it woudn't accept was there in the thread.

I did the usual: rebooted, tried a different browser, cleared my cache, tried to access it on another device, etc. Nothing made a difference but even if my account was deleted, I should have been able to create a new account with a different user name and different email (I have 3), but couldn't do that.

I've notice something weird the last week or so, every time I come to AgingCare I'm automatically logged in despite having my browser settings delete all cookies on exit and my passwords not set for auto login. Anybody else noticing this, or do I need to do a deeper purge of my PC??
