Find Care & Housing
cwillie, yes I've had the double tabs for a while now. Am on Safari 17.6 (MacBook Pro laptop).

cwillie, same here regarding seeing the double "Answer" tab. Plus the word QUESTION is half covered by the "Recent Activity" tab. I am using a Dell desk top, with current Windows (whatever # it is).

Admins, something is amiss with the avatar pics. My established one shows up in the main forum Questions page (https://www.agingcare.com/caregiver-forum) but not on the header for individual posts. I just get a bland square teal box with my initials, and so do others, but not everyone.

Even on this post the avatars are all there, but not on other ones.

Also, "Forum" no longer is visible in my header menu.

I'm on a MacBook Pro running Safari 17.6

Did you make any changes?

They've changed the whole banner layout Geaton, I'm not sure if I like it.

I see that Cwillie, I've gotta play with it later, see if I like it or not.

I am getting that teal box. I clicked on it and it brought up profile, etc.

Where is my little duck avatar.
Took me time to even get the Forum at all. I had to go to newsfeed, then click on an answer, then find caregiver Forum.
Wow, guess we will get used to it, but I sure don't like it at all.

I don’t like it at all.

Please bring back the Forum link so we can all get there without resorting to backdoor measures.

The forum is just hidden, it's labelled as as community now
Overall I think the site is more focused on it's true purpose, which is selling care contracts via APFM.

cwillie,
I kind of agree. From their perspective, selling the product is now more front and center. Kind of too bad, as I think that now no one will really see this Forum. Our questions are already kind of deteriorating over time, and this may be the beginning of the end. I shall have to go into a 12 step program for my addiction to this Forum, do you think.

I am used to the set up now, but it was a shock going in, and of course I always immediately state with "Oh, no, what did I do!" Wish we had had a tad of warning about the new setup and how to get in. At least my little quaking avatar is still there. How I should have mourned her loss if not!

Ugh. Site is not nearly as welcoming and user-friendly. Can the ‘fixes’ be fixed? Re-broken? I got where I needed to go but if I was brand new I don’t think I would have.

Don't care for the format page change. The titles of the Questions/Discussion seem a much lighter blue so I had to to the Accessibility Menu (lower right blue circle with white figure in the center) to darken the Q/D in order to clearly see the titles.

I am getting too old for change :P

I have nothing labeled "community" on my tablet cwillie. So yes, the forum is VERY well hidden 😑

Lea, for me it shows at the top of my laptop AgingCare on the far left. Moving right you come first to "Find Care" then to "Resources" and the to "Community".
I am a bit surprised no one has communicated with us whatsoever and it makes me wonder, hard as it would be to find how to pose a question as a "newbie" and with all the two month old questions popping up, if AC just is going to kind of move out of the "Forum" business. It seems odd no one would communicate with us regulars on the Forum. Perhaps will just stay tuned a few days and they will get to us. Hope so.

"Community" is the new menu tab formerly "Forum"

Alva, I understand that, but "Community" is not on my page anywhere.

Geaton, on my screen, I have no tab for Community which was formerly Forum.

But there IS a telephone next to the search magnifier and a blue box marked LE that drops down and offers:

Profile
Newsfeed
Activity
Settings
Log Out

EDIT: THE COMMUNITY TAB DOES APPEAR ON MY SMART PHONE. BUT NOT MY TABLET.

Lea, if you turn your tablet horizontally does community show up?

Click on the black box with “pe” on it, then select “news feed.” The “community” tab will show up at the top.

Admin, consider replacing “community” with “forum” or “home.”

They for sure won't be labelling the forum as the home page PeggySue, although a forum might be what what AgingCare began as 20 years ago it's a small part of what this site is about today 🤣

I don't have a black box. I have a blue box that says GO with a drop down list starting with Profile, News Feed...

Definitely it is much more geared to marketing/ I wonder if they are working on phasing out the social aspect. It was not the original goal, I suspect, We may have to start our own facebook or other site group.

Yes, everyone has had their avatar replaced by their screen name initials, my box says CW 😉

Never fear, the forum won't be eliminated as long as it continues to be a way to lure people to the site

I see your avatar, cw and mine - pic of Rocky - is still there and I see lea's, and Geston's and Alva's...

Sorry Golden I should have been more specific - the avatars are still there when we post but the one that used to be at the top (where we access our profile etc) has now been replaced

I'm not sure why some of you aren't seeing the community link, one thought is that sometimes web pages don't display properly when you are zoomed in too much.

Mine is there on my profile.

Where I see a blue box and GO, some are seeing their letter avatars -lea LE, Peggy Sue PE

"Visit the Forum" is still on the lower right hand side of the home page for me. It's underneath the picture of the caregiver, woman and her mother/aunt/friend.

Admins: unrelated question...

Why can't we edit PMs like other posts?
(2)

Geaton - I think an obvious reason would be that people could harass someone by sending nasty PM's and then deleting the evidence.

Oh seriously, absolutely, 100 percent agree with greeton!!
